Why Locals Love Gotcha Burger
Gotcha Burger is a standout fast food restaurant located at 1702 W 7th Ave in Eugene, Oregon, offering an authentically satisfying burger experience that locals and visitors alike keep coming back for. Specializing in classic American fast food fare, Gotcha Burger brings a straightforward, no-frills approach where quality and consistency shine through every bite.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly their signature burgers, especially the much-loved DuceDuce burger, famously paired with their exclusive Gotcha Special Sauce. This sauce is a defining element, infusing each burger with a tangy, savory kick that not only complements but elevates their smash-style patties. Accompany your meal with a side of perfectly crispy fries ($2.95), indulgent chili cheese fries ($4.95), or golden, crunchy onion rings ($3.95), each crafted to satisfy your cravings with that ideal balance of texture and flavor. Wash it all down with a choice of classic sodas for just $1.75, completing a timeless fast food experience.
One of the most compelling things about Gotcha Burger is their atmosphere — it strikes a casual, friendly vibe where the focus is on great food and genuine service. Guests often praise the warm, welcoming staff who seem genuinely passionate about their craft. Candace Campbell highlights this wonderfully, emphasizing the consistently delicious food paired with service that “takes it to the next level.” It’s clear that each member of the team enjoys making every customer’s visit special, contributing to a relaxed environment that feels just like coming to a friend's spot.
Customer reviews reveal an emotional connection to Gotcha Burger beyond the food itself. Sean Haggerty’s testimonial captures the essence perfectly: a dependable burger joint with “no muss, no fuss,” delivering on taste every single time. At the same time, the community’s voice shows their care for the little details, like Meisha’s fondness for the Gotcha Sauce on the DuceDuce burger and her hope to see it back to its original glory — proof of how passionately customers hold their favorites here.
For those who might initially hesitate or have had a longer wait (a common note shared by Blake Fittipaldi regarding peak times downtown), the consensus remains clear: Gotcha Burger’s mouthwatering flavors and fair prices make it worth the occasional patience. One reviewer colorfully compares the taste to “If In & Out and Toxic Burger had a baby with my grandma’s cooking skills,” highlighting the unique, comforting flavor profile that sets Gotcha apart from typical fast food joints.
In essence, Gotcha Burger delivers a classic fast food experience with a genuine twist of heartfelt flavors and a loyal following. Whether you’re a Eugene local or just passing through, this spot promises a burger that tastes like home — simple, satisfying, and crafted with care.

This is a really good place to get a burger. No muss no fuss.... Haven't eaten anything there that didn't taste great and just like I expected it to and hoped it would. Been to two locations now there is a good consistent result with product. Would definitely recommend to pretty much anybody looking for a reasonably priced good tasting Burger.

I used to say "Best burger in town!" I now hesitate with that remark bc as of lately, the "Gotcha" sauce seems to be lacking on their Duce-Duce burger. Come on guys, don't slack on the sauce, it's what makes the burger. Love ya guys, I will keep coming back and will keep in my to ask for extra sauce. Great folks, great food and good atmosphere. Really miss having the basketball hoop out there off W 7th tho... Bring it back please

If In & Out and Toxic Burger had a baby with my grandma's cooking skills- GOTCHA!! I don't know what the heck is wrong with me! I've lived in Eugene my entire life and always pass this place up. NEVER AGAIN! I don't care how long I have to wait or if they get my order wrong- anything that's gonna come out of this kitchen is gonna be good! Their prices were crazy... they could easily charge double by today's pricing. So that will definitely make me return! Absolutely delicious burgers that take you back to your childhood. Thank you!

Update* Always, like EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. the food is delicious and the service is great! You can't go wrong with any choice you make! The chicken sandwich was perfection! The Duce Bacon was also perfectly prepared!! The bun, the sauce, the fixings are all perfect adornments! The service though took it to the next level! So friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and their customers! A must stop for a great bite to eat!

Food is great every single time, have to figure something out with wait time. It simply doesn’t take 45 minutes to make a smash burger, two cars here, I was the first one, I ordered two cheese burgers and am waiting 45+ minutes. Always like this. Mall location is better on wait times the food is better usually downtown.

This is one of those places I've driven by a hundred times, and I always say, "Man, I need to try that place some day." Well, I happened to mention this place to my boss yesterday, and today she commented that we should try it. First impression upon pulling up, their intercom for the ordering menu is down, but let that not be a deterrent. After reading some other reviews about the wait time, I decided to leave earlier to pick up lunch for everyone. I pulled up to the drive-through window and was greeted by a friendly face. She took my order, and unfortunately, the shake machine was down. I made my order and a special request for food preparation. I was told to pull up, and my food would be brought out shortly. I was looking around, and they have a couple of outdoor seating areas, a few arcade games, and a basketball hoop for customers to use. I wasn't expecting this for a small food stand/truck restaurant, and I love how welcoming it felt. My food was out quicker than expected, and the gentleman still apologized for the wait. Everyone raved about the food, I found it quite delicious myself. Excellent flavor, good portion size, and exceptionally reasonable prices considering inflation. Now I wish I would have eaten here one of the many times I've driven by. We have already decided this is going to be one of our new go-to places for lunch. I hope to try the milkshake next time! 10/10, friendly staff, welcoming ambiance, fabulous food, and quite the bargain.

Ive been hearing how good the burgers are at Gotcha Burger and finally got a chance to try one. A day later I got the chance to try another Duce Burger and a Hot Dog. The burger took me back to my childhood and the hot dog was one of the best Dogs Ive ever had. Being close to Campus this place is going to get really busy really quick. AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT! ..... I cant believe the value of the meal at Gotcha Burger.

One of the best burgers in town, super cheap and affordable. I've heard some things about their cleanliness and inspections but I haven't gotten sick yet so... They do get backed up sometimes and it may take up to 30 minutes to get your food, but I think it's worth it.
